Time Freedom

Most entrepreneurs I’ve spoken with have said they started their own business in order to have more freedom. More financial freedom, more time freedom. They dream of the life in which they can go where they want, with whom they want, whenever they want.

And then reality sets in. Running a business is work. Yes, you’re your own boss and that’s great, but along with that comes a lot of responsibility. You have to get things completed and keep the wheels greased so the business continues to thrive.

You find that you’ve traded a J.O.B. for W.O.R.K. You may even feel you have LESS time and FEWER freedoms. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Process: The Path to Freedom

Processes are the Path to Freedom

The top reason people don’t start writing their processes is time. If this is your “why”, I have this to say to you:

If you don’t take the time to figure out how to pass on your knowledge, you will never get out of the rut of RUNNING your business.

You will never be able to take that vacation, spend that time with your family, live that life that you wanted when you started this whole entrepreneur thing. NEVER!

You need to take time to make time. You don’t have to do it alone, but you do have to do it.

If you look at all those entrepreneurs who have “made it” and are living the life you dream about, you’ll notice one simple thing. They have a team that works well. They have a team that knows what needs to be done, when it needs to be done, and has the autonomy to get it done.

They have given up control over the small day-to-day tasks and concentrate on the bigger picture. They focus on delivering to their clients and creating new ways and means to bring creative solutions to their customers.

They are not worried about social media posts or technology. They have competent people who take care of that.

But they didn’t have that to begin with. They had to figure it out and write it down before being able to transfer that knowledge. Once they were able to do that, their business could start growing effectively. Growth pains were able to be kept to a minimum because they had their systems in place and were able to look forward and see possible roadblocks and plan for them.

Create and Celebrate Your Own Independence

This week, in America, is all about celebrating FREEDOM and INDEPENDENCE. Chances are you started your business because you had a dream that included these two concepts. If your business is struggling and you’re finding that you’re pulled between all the day-to-day minutia, it’s time. Time to declare your independence and take the time to create the freedom you desire.

The Simply Systemize course will be opening registration soon. If you’re wanting a helping hand to ensure you reach your independence, click HERE and sign up for more information.

I hope you had a Happy 4th of July and I’m cheering you on to your life of freedom.
