Feeling Stuck is the First Sign of a Shift
Often, the feeling of being stuck is a precursor to a major life shift. It means that you’re up against an internal wall that was put there to keep you safe at one point in time.
Recognizing Stuckness as a Sign for Change
Take some time to reflect on this moment of protection. Where do you think it came from? What was it protecting you from?
Sometimes we carry things beyond their time of function. Things become crutches that we don’t think we can discard. While we may have needed them for a moment, we’ve grown and healed. We can appreciate the help and protection those things have given up and allow them to go on their merry way.
Sometimes we’ll store those items, just in case we might need them again. I know I have a few ACE bandages and maybe even some crutches in a closet somewhere, but I’m not using them everyday
Acknowledging and Letting Go of Old Patterns
The key is to have healing occur so that you can release the need for the protection and help of those mindsets, reactions, and thought processes. And the way to heal is to acknowledge what occurred that required the protection and figure out what could be improved.
Having things happen that seem to derail you is actually a good thing. It’s a chance to acknowledge your protective measures, what happened to create them, and assess if they are still needed.
This shift is a good thing. It means you’re growing and ready for the next step in your BIG Dream journey.
As you assess, you start to see what no longer works for you, what you keep bumping into, and what you’re no longer willing to tolerate.
Creating Space for New Opportunities
As you work through the process of acknowledgement and release, you are creating the space for upgrades in your life; upgrades to your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual ways of being.
Admitting that you have an issue is the first step to tackling the obstacles that will come your way.
Then you can look at it objectively and see the lessons as well as where you’ve improved things since the initial time. Remember, you are no longer the age in which that thing happened. You have grown and gained experience. You no longer have react in the same manner because THIS situation is really different than the one before. You are in a different environment and there are different players around you. Even if it seems familiar, it’s not the same.
Once you have this vision, you get the opportunity to change your perspective and behavior. You begin to have a choice in the actions you take. And each choice you make becomes a step towards achieving your BIG Dream.
You have the opportunity to step forward with clarity and confidence once you’ve acknowledged, appreciated, and begun to release that which kept you safe for so long.
It may take micro-baby-steps to move you beyond the wall that was there, but with each step forward you will gain the strength and motivation to do more. You might even start to view new obstacles with excitement, because you know they are there to clear out the old and will bring better things to your life.
Embracing Life Shifts with Confidence
As you begin to embrace life shifts, you’ll start viewing challenges as stepping stones toward your BIG Dream. Each new obstacle can be a sign that you’re clearing away old patterns to make space for something extraordinary.
