The Power and Responsibility of Your BIG Dream
You have a responsibility to your BIG Dream. You are the conduit for it to come to fruition. This means you need to have some boundaries in place to keep you from straying off the path of your BIG Dream. These boundaries are not to keep you in, but to keep that which does not serve out.
Setting Boundaries for Your BIG Dream
Your dream was given to you because you have the capability to either make it happen or move it forward enough for the next person to grab hold of.
You see, not all dreams are alike. Some are big enough to complete in a lifetime and others are SO BIG and outrageously audacious that it takes several lifetimes to come to fruition.
It’s like a relay race:
- once person starts with the idea,
- then hands it to the next to build upon,
- then the next to put some structure to it,
- then next to refine and revise,
- the next to hone and perfect,
- and finally the one that brings it all together and crosses the finish line.
The Relay Race of Achieving Dreams
It doesn’t matter if you’re the first person or the last person, each one of you has done critical work to make the BIG Dream happen. And if you’re one of those folks in the middle, you must remember that no one can cross the finish line if you don’t do your work!
Your portion of the dream is just as important as all the other players. It’s all about the BIG PICTURE and how what you do helps to create the landscape and environment for the Dream to thrive.
The person who had the idea to cure cancer will never see that come to pass, but they started the work. Those who are working on it today, may never see it happen…but that doesn’t stop them. One day a cure will be found, and it will be because of everyone who stepped up to help.
Nourishing Your BIG Dream for Growth
It’s the same with your BIG Dream. It may start small, with something that you can (and will) accomplish in your lifetime. But it will grow, if you nourish it, into something bigger. Something of which you may never see the finish line.
My BIG Dream is that everyone will be able to live their truly authentic life. That others will see the divine spark that was placed in each person and allow it to grow into its greatness. That it won’t be squashed or tamped out of existence because “they” don’t understand it yet. This is my dream.
